Situated at the top of Coogan's Bluff, the Roger Morris is a non-HDFC co-op in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Sugar Hill. Consisting of two five-story buildings (474-478 W. 158th Street), the co-op boasts a private patio and garden for residents, a joint laundry facility, extra storage units, and a bike room, along with a resident superintendent. The co-op is open to pied-a-terre ownership.
Our pet-friendly co-op is adjacent to Highbridge Park, overlooking Yankee Stadium. A few blocks in any direction and you will find great restaurants, shopping, recreation, and historical landmarks, as well as plenty of art and culture.
To the north, you will find the Morris Jumel Mansion, one of General George Washington's headquarters during the American Revolution, as well as the newly renovated High Bridge, connecting Manhattan to the Bronx. To the east, are the Polo Ground, former home of the New York Giants, and Yankee Stadium. To the west, you will find the Hispanic Society of America, a stunning museum and reference library featuring works of art from artists such as Velazquez, Sorolla, and El Greco.
